Victorian bride in Rome
When we started to look for the mood of the shoot we were struck by a stunning Globe de la mariée that Jenny and Graziano (of SHHH MY DARLING) have in display in their house, it’s an amazing, and original, piece created by a French artisan at the end of the XIX century. Created to hold the bride’s bouquet during the wedding day, le globe de la mariée in an object full of symbolism, and it was always customized on the bride, her taste, her personality. So we decided to imagine a beautiful bride, who is getting ready for her “plus beau jour” in her castle(the location of the shooting is located in a public park in Rome, but was the former residence of the Italian king), surrounded by a lush environment and fine Victorian decoration and details. We actually chose a non-palette letting the dark and shade-giving green of the wood interfere with the dusty atmosphere of the little neo-classic temple and then playing with tonalities: from pale pink, to light blue with golden accents.
